Moving

There's more to football than just what happens on the pitch. It's the pre-match rituals you do every week. A pint in the pub with your mates before kick off or maybe you have a lucky shirt you always wear.
Each one is different and unique to them.
With it being the last season at Goodison Park before the big move, I felt the need to document the small things around Goodison that help make our matchday experiences as well as the fans themselves.
Even though moving grounds is long overdue, it still feels bittersweet. The old lady has been our home for over 130 years, and she’s been a staple in all our childhoods and having to leave her behind is going to be tough for a lot of us.
So, I wanted to capture her beauty before it’s too late.
I remember bringing my camera to Goodison for the first time when I had a season ticket back in 2015, I would spend most of the game watching it through my viewfinder and taking (pretty blurry and out of focus) pictures of any player that dared to step near the corner flag near me.
This was when I realised I had a passion for photographing the game. Goodison inspired me to do what I'm doing now, and this project is like a thank you to her.
These past few seasons haven’t been the easiest for us Evertonians. From relegation battle after relegation battle to problematic owners, there hasn’t been much to be happy about with our club.
Yet we still show up week in and week out to show support for the boys even though we know we’ll probably end up disappointed.
I think of this project as a love letter to the dedicated fans who stuck with the team through these tough seasons and fought for the future of our club.
As well as a thank you to Goodison for the memories I've been able to make with her that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
